Valley of the argan and almond trees “Tafraout” Agadir Or Tafraoute and Ameln Valley trekking. This trip will take place during the best time to enjoy the landscape of almond trees in blooms, on mineral background of pink granite. On the trails of the Anti-Atlas, the Jebel Bani and Tafraoute, you will discover the villages suspended above the almond trees (bloom in mid February to mid March), with the beauty of Jebel Lekst (2359 m of altitude) and buttresses of pink granite, the Ait Moussa valley to steep gorges.

Day 1: Agadir: Reception at the airport and transfer to the hostel.

Day 2: Agadir – Targa n’Touchka: 
After breakfast, transfer by minibus (about 3 hours’ drive) to departure point for hike, Lunch at Targa n’Taouchka (420 m). Afternoon: walk (about 2 hours walking) in the middle of a beautiful oasis and returning to camp.
Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3: Targa n’Touchka – Tagdicht: 6 hours of walking.
We go up to the Imzil village. Then by a steep path, we join Izgoun Tagdicht.
Camp, at 1100 meters above sea level, in beautiful location with overlooking the region.
Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 4: Tagdicht – Aguerd n’Ouzrou: 5 hours 30min of walking.
Climb a mountain (an elevation of 1300 m), and pass through Anzgarn in the gorge of Takoucht river, then we go back to the Aguerd n’Ouzrou.
Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 5: Aguerd n’Ouzrou – Ait Iftin: 4 hours of walking.
Easy and beautiful step, village to village (Tamz, Isll, Aït Iftane). Bivouac at the foot of the Lekst Mountain, at 1450 m above sea level. Afternoon is a time of rest.

Day 6: Lekst – Anergui: 7h30 of walking.
Climb Mount Lekst via a small way and a mountain pass of 2050 m above level sea; reach the highest point with overlooking the Lekst regions, down to the Anergui village and the Ameln valley.
Dinner and overnight at the Camp(1000 m).

Day 7: Anergui – Tafraoute – Agadir: 
After a nice hike of 3 hours through the valley of Ameln and the crossing of a pink granite, arrival in Aday village, Lunch at Tafraoute. Afternoon: Return by minibus to Agadir.
Overnight at the hostel.

Day 8: Transfer to the airport « End of our services.

Essential Equipments:

  • Good walking boots and socks

  • Day sack/backpack
  • Sleeping bag (3-4 season); plus thermal liner in winter
  • Scarf to wrap around your head in a sandstorm
  • Personal items: towel, sunscreen, wet wipes, loo roll
  • Toiletries that are eco-friendly e.g. soap, shampoo etc.
  • Small First Aid Kit e.g. insect repellent, plasters, meds
  • Sunglasses.
  • Torch/Flashlight and spare batteries e.g. head torch

  • Hat for summer and warm beanie for winter plus gloves

    Meals: You will have the opportunity to enjoy typically Moroccan meals (tajine, couscous,.). Fresh products, canned food as a complement, meat bought in the mountains. Picnic or salads for lunch, hot ready-cooked meals for dinner. 
    We use a big tent to preparing the meals, and a mess tent to eat. The water flows out from the mountains is very pure but you should treat it otherwise to use bottle water instead of water from the sourse .

    Travel inside of morocco: For transfers between Marrakech and the starting or end point of the hike, we use minibuses or four-wheel drive vehicles or taxis depends on size of the group. During the days of the trek , mules or camels carry the luggage.
